Hi, I’m TonyaAnn, an imperfect woman pursuing a perfect God endeavoring to point everyone to His word and purpose.
Raised in a Pentecostal home, church was the center of everything. I had knowledge of God’s Word but I didn’t love it. Studying the Bible was difficult. Reading the whole Bible completely seemed impossible. The guilt was exhausting. I tried everything to motivate myself.
Participating in a Bible Study by Anne Graham Lotz changed everything. I finally realized that the God of creation, the Savior of the World, speaks to his children through his word. The scripture was written for Tonya. I read the Bible with the anticipation that one talks to a friend. Loving the Word surprised me.
My love of literacy drove me to spend thirty-two years in public education. My love of children gave me thirty-five years in Girls Ministry. Twenty-four summers have been spent as Activities Director in camps for abused and neglected kids, (https://www.forthechildren.org/) As long as I have breath, I will serve my Lord.
Next to Jesus, the great loves of my life are my two adult children, their spouses and six incredible grandchildren. Life took me to Colorado but I’ll always be an Oklahoma girl at heart.
